Bit of both!
ENTP (Originator) Personality Type
This video really highlights the reasons Northerners are know for being proud of where they are from! Having been born in London and moving to Newcastle I feel I have experience of both extremes of the country! When we moved up North I used to ask my mum why people would randomly say funny words like ‘Alreet Pet?’ I soon learned it was there way of saying’are you okay?’ Northerners seem to check if you are okay before even saying Hi, because they genuinely care! This was a strange concept to me at first, however I now love living in Newcastle and will always say I am a Northerner!

Midlands man
From the South but now I love the North
Look at my personality profile.
Being from the South and moving to study in Sheffield I have
discovered how much better the North of England is. I believe that this video
demonstrates the arguments using engaging and emotive arguments. I particularly
can relate to how the North of England is greater at sport including recent
triumphant victories for both Manchester football teams and the success of Northern
GB athletes at London 2012. I have also discovered the wide variety of food in
the North including Yorkshire puddings and the excellent choice of drinks
including John Smiths. This is something that I believe that video touched upon
really well.

I have always been fiercely proud of my Northern heritage and this video helps to demonstrate why! My favourite band of all time Arctic Monkeys were born in Sheffield, and I feel that the music culture in the north of England is distinct from anywhere else in the world, with artists ranging from the Beatles to Pulp to Oasis, these bands have undeniably produced some of the best songs of the last hundred years. I have always found northern people to be more friendly and approachable and I am glad that I chose to go to university in such a happy, friendly northern city!

Not being a northerner myself, this video makes me proud to currently live in the north; it enhances the positive aspects of northern life as well as advertising one of its most attractive points; the sense of belonging. Since moving to Sheffield I have certainly recognised how friendly northerners are; in addition to this the North of England offers an extremely exciting music scene - with bands such as the Arctic Monkeys, Oasis and Kaiser Chiefs all coming from the North. The diversity in the north is also something to be noted; with its rich culture, a wide range of accents and an array of sporting achievements definitely gives the north an edge over the Midlands and the South.
